Description	The Leavenworth (KS) Bulletin Aug. 14, 1866: "The Empire Base Ball Club of Chillicothe is the champion club of North Missouri." The Quincy Daily Herald, Aug. 16, 1871 reports that the Occidental of Quincy lost to the Empire of Chillicothe 53-23. Chillicothe MO (current pop. about 9500) is about 90 miles NE of Kansas City MO and about 70 miles E of St. Joseph MO.
