Comment	Pitches thrown - F. Pidgeon (Eckford) - 207 total; Inning high, 46 in the 9th. T. Dankin (Putnam) - 365 total; Inning high, 111 in the 9th. Eckford Outfielder William Brown broke a finger while catching a ball in the seventh inning.  He wrapped up the wound and continued the match.  At the time of the New York Mercury printing of the game (6-27-1858), Brown had to have the finger amputated.  (E.
