Description

The (Ithaca) Tompkins County Democrat, June 21, 1861, headlined "Base Ball Club" says the Ithaca BBC is to play a match game "on the club grounds adjoining the Forest City House." G. G. Howard's side vs. Dr. E. J. Morgan's side. The game is "to continue for one week."

This is probably the Forest City Club.

Dr. Edward Jay Morgan (1825-94) was a leading physician in Ithaca.

Same, next month, says the club beat Moravia at Moravia recently 40-38.
