| Description | The Hamilton Evening Times, Aug. 20, 1864 reports that among other teams the Barton Club of Barton helped form the Base Ball Association of Canada at a meeting on Aug. 15th in Woodstock. Same July 27, 1864 reports that the Maple Leaf BBC of Hamilton was to play Barton "tomorrow afternoon, being the third game in a home and home match." Barton is the old name for the township that Hamilton is in. |
