Description	The Helena Independent Record, May 20, 1884: "Anaconda has a base ball club." The Anaconda Standard, Oct. 16, 1891 mentions that William F. Brewster played first base for the Anaconda base ball club in 1890. This club beat Deer Lodge 29-17 at Deer lodge. See same, June 8, 1891. Anaconda was founded in 1883 as a mining town. It had 700 inhabitants in 1880, 3975 in 1890.
