Description	The Austin Democratic Statesman, July 16, 1874 reports on a 2-game series for the "state championship" between the Trinity of Dallas and the Blue Stockings of Denison. Denison won both games, 35-33 and 37-19. This Blue Stockings team lasted at least through 1879. See the Denison Daily News, Aug. 13, 1879, where they play the local Lee club.
