Description | The Mohave County Miner, June 10, 1888: "Kingman now has a base ball club. A game was played on last Saturday, the first one played here." Same June 30, 1888 says Kingman and Poet Springs are to play on July 4. Same Oct. 27, 1888: "The Kingman Base Ball Club have made arrangements to play a series of three games with the Needles nine. The first game will take place at the Needles on Sunday, November 4..." Kingman was founded in 1882. It had 322 residents in 1890. |
