Text | BASE BALL -- The old Club, we are pleased to note, have reorganized for the “fall campaign." This is a step in the right direction, for it will doubtless result in many a job for the doctors, and several “Severe Accidents" to be chronicled in THE DEMOCRAT. In these days of dull times, even a base ball accident is not to be sneezed at by your humble picker up of “unconsidered trifles -- ye Local. Go in, fellers, and if you can possibly kill half a dozen people, for our sake, please kill 'em. If we can't laugh at anything, let's try a few weepin' and wailin'. |
