Description | The Invincible and Stonewall clubs of Wetumpka sent delegates to the 1868 Alabama state baseball convention. See Mobile Register, April 27, 1868. Wetumpka AL is about 80 miles SE of Birmingham and about 15 miles N of Montgomery. Its population was about 3000 before the Civil War, but dwindled to about 650 by 1879. |
