Description

Approximately 12-20 young women organized the Female Base Ball Club of Nashville and played several scrimmage games on the grounds of a mansion on the outskirts of Nashville. The players wore uniforms with red caps and leather belts with the initials FBBC. This is the first known female baseball team in Tennessee.
