About this Society
Note: Protoball's PrePro data base includes data on 6 early clubs and 20 early games in the Boston area, as of August 2014. It includes data on 60 early clubs and 75 early games in the Massachusetts, including those not confirmed as using New York rules.
The chapter's research will address both the spread of the New York game in Massachusetts and the evolution and fate of the "Massachusetts Game in the 1850s and 1860s.
