Same Aug. 21, 1875, mentions the Bailey BBC is going to play a return match with the Brown Stockings, and also has this: "Base Ball--the game between the Sweet Gum Deadeners of Hopkinsville, Ky., and the Baileys of this city on Friday of last week, resulted in a victory for the latter..." Clarksville won 22 to 4 in Clarksville. |
