Description | The Ottawa Free Press, July 7, 1871: "A Base Ball match took place at Wellington on Dominion Day [July 1] between the Wellington and Manotic [sic] Base Ball Clubs." Manotick won 46-45 in 2-1/2 innings. The modern spelling of the town is Manotick. The game was called after Wellington's half of the 3rd inning. |
