Description

The Delachaise Grounds were a park, bounded by Delachaise, Laurel, Foucher and Tchoupitoulas Streets in what was early on Jefferson city. It is near the modern Touro Infirmary.

The field was also used for cricket.

The New Orleans Crescent, Aug. 10, 1859, reports the newly formed Empire BBC, organized Aug. 9, will play on the Delachaise grounds tomorrow.
