Modern Address Perry and South Sts
Description

The base ball grounds in the 1870-71 newspapers were described as at the south end of Perry St.

Another newspaper article from this time said that Mrs. H. P. Watson lived at the south end of Perry St. This is the widow of Hugh Park Watson (d. 1866), AL's adjutant General during the civil war. The 1866 city directory says his home was at the corner of Perry and South Streets.
