Text | ...the Gotham Club, having left the old spot at the Red House, is having a large field adjoining our [the Eagle Club, i.e. in Hoboken] ground leveled and graded, which, when finished, will make as fine a ground as any played on. ... I am sorry to say that the “Gothams” will be weakened some by the change, as some of their best players will be unable to play on the new ground. |
