Description

The New Orleans Daily Crescent, July 13, 1860, reports on a recent pleasure excursion to Biloxi, MS, by the Creole Fire Company No. 9 of New Orleans. On landing in Biloxi, the firemen took an "eye opener" at "Gus Richards' famous saloon/restaurant,whereupon some went to the baths, others "went into the manly exercise of base-ball." Lots more feasting and drinking was done.
