Description | "The Louisville Base Ball Club arrived home this morning in high spirits, having beaten the Cumberland at Nashville by thirty-nine to twenty-three. They stand Champions of Tennessee and Kentucky. The return game will be played here next week." Nashville's population was about 19,000 in 1860 and about 26,000 in 1870.
