Description | The Regina Standard, July 4, 1906, p. 7, reports on the Dominion Day celebration in Saskatoon, which includes "baseball, lacrosse, football and athletic events." The Saskatoon Phoenix, July 10, 1903, reports on a game played July 4th between the Dakotas and the Minnesotas, won by the former 13-12. Evidently a lot of the inhabitants were Americans. Same June 6, 1903, notes the "public school baseball team." Saskatoon was incorporated in 1906, though first settled in 1883. It had a population of 3,011 in 1906. |
