Description | The Big Horn Sentinel, Sept. 8, 1888 announced a baseball tournament to be held later that month, with teams from Buffalo, Dayton and Piney. Same July 13, 1889 gives the box score of a game July 4th between Buffalo and the soldiers of nearby Fort McKinney, won by the former 26-17. Buffalo was founded in 1878, incorporated in 1884. It had a population of 1087 in 1890. |
