Description

On the Queen's Birthday (a holiday in Canada at the time) sides were chosen for an "old style" game of baseball, from the crowd of celebrants, for a $5 prize. The game was interrupted by a fire.

Was this the Canadian variant game?

St. George was/is a small hamlet just north of Brantford.
