Description	The Utica Base Ball Club beat Rome, 50-10. This is probably the Monitor Club of Rome. See Tholkes RIM, July 14, 1862. Utica Daily Observer, June 18, 1862, announced the formation of this club, and said it had leased land on Dominick St. above the Arsenal. Rome NY (current pop. about 34,000) is about 15 mile NW of Utica NY, and both cities are about 40 miles E of Syracuse.
