Description | The Louisville Courier Journal, Aug. 4, 1868 reports that the Eagle of Louisville and the Valley of Frankfort are to play that day in Frankfort for the junior championship of the state. The Cincinnati Commercial Tribune, Aug. 5, 1869: "The Valley Club of Frankfort, Kentucky has sent challenges to the Eagle and Kentucky clubs of Louisville, to play match games on the 9th and 10th, respectively, at Frankfort." Frankfort KY is about 50 miles east of Louisville. |
