Description	The Mexico Herald, July 15, 1899, reports that the Velardena BBC defeated Torreon 14-4 and claims the championship of northern Mexico. Same, Nov. 5, 1900 has the Velardena BBC losing to the Mexico BBC 14-10 in Mexico City. The article says that the winners now claim to be champions of Mexico, and they defeated the champions of the north. It appears the Velardena club was composed of Anglo employees of the Velardena mines.
