Text | Radbourn, of the Bostons, says:--”The best pitcher is the one who wins the most games for his club, and not the one who suffers for fewest base hits.” Under this argument some good pitchers would be considered very weak, as many good twirlers have not the backing in the field or at the bat to achieve many victories. |
