Text	[Boston vs. Metropolitan 4/28/1881] The rumor about Whitney's illegal delivery proved to be nothing at all, judging by his work in this match. He is a tall man, and naturally the line of the ball from his waist, even, is high. He is, in fact, lower than a majority of the other pitchers. In this case it was simply poor batting against very swift curved-line pitching, and the latter had the best of it.
