Text | The delegates from the amateur clubs of several States assembled at Masonic Hall, this city, on the night of Dec. 13, to revise the code of playing rules for the coming season, and to elect officers for 1872. Owing to the limited attendance of delegates, however, the legal quorum required to organize was wanting, and after some discussion a motion to adjourn prevailed, and the convention was postponed until the second Wednesday of March next, the week following the Professional Convention in Cleveland. |
