Text	The Philadelphia Base Ball Club held its annual meeting and election of officers on Monday evening... Some idea of the magnitude of the meeting can be formed when it is stated that ninety-two out of one hundred shares of stock were represented–the proportion being extraordinary. The gathering–as did also the recent meeting of the Athletic Club–demonstrated the interest taken in base ball matters in the Quaker City.... The reports of the board of directors and the treasurer were then read, and were very elaborate and complete in item and detail.
