Text	As soon as the Athletic club got to work in May last, they sent a challenge to their old New Jersey rivals, the noted Eurekas, of Newark, naming, not only the day of the first match, but also that of the return game. Not being quite prepared to enter upon so important a contest, and not exactly liking the naming of both days of the series of games by the Athletics, the Eurekas declined the challenge for the time being...
