Text | [from the AA instructions to umpires] The score card agreed upon by the two captains and handed to the umpire before the games begin, is to be regarded as the ‘score’ referred to in the rule giving the order of batting, and this cannot be changed except a player becomes disabled by illness or injury, so as to cause him to retire from the contest. |
