Text | The Columbus Baseball company is the name of the new club entered for the American Association championship, and hailing from Columbus, O. To show the interest taken in baseball in that city, we would state that the sum of $5,000 was subscribed in the brief time of three days, and as much more could have been raised if desired. The club was incorporated Oct. 14, with a captial stock of $5,000, in shares of fifty dollars each, and under the laws of Ohio each stockholder is liable for twice the amount of stock he owns. |
