Text | The fifty cents admittance, which is now charged by all professional clubs to any of their games, works like a charm for the big clubs—such as the Mutuals, the Athletics, the White Stockings, the B ostons, and the Olympics—but the remaining six clubs are scarcely making money enough to pay their laundry bills. There will be a falling through of some of these “small fry” before the season closes. |
