Text | The Championship Committee purpose having a flag made with a white ground and red border, and the word “Champions” worked thereon in blue letter. The flag to be from 26 to 28 feet long and by 10 to 12 feet wide, and to be retained as a memento by the club winning the championship each year, while a handsome silk whip pennant, which accompanies the flag, will remain the property of the Association, and be thrown to the breeze during each club’s tenure of the championship. The above are the suggestions of the Championship Committee, through Harry Wright, their Chairman, and it remains with the Athletics to accept or make such amendments to the same as they may think fit. |
