Text | On Friday the Olympic club celebrated its forty-second anniversary, the ceremonies incident to the occasion transpiring on the grounds at Twenty-fifth and Jefferson streets. They consisted of two games of ball and a banquet. There were about one hundred gentlemen present, among whom we recognized the following veterans: W. E. Whitman, Colonel Ellmaker and Messrs. Draper, Paul, Dusenbery, Payne, Richards, Berkenstock, Reach, Wilkins and Kleinfelder. The festivities were of the usual character and much enjoyed by the participants.; see also PCI 750605 |
