Text | [quoting an unnamed Atlantic player] ...located about one-half mile south of the city, enclosed, and that is all that can be said for it as a ball field. From the catcher to the outfield the ground gradually rises, and his, in addition to hills and hollows in the infield, makes it next to impossible to properly gauge a ball or handle it with any precision. |
