Text | [reporting on the Arbitration Committee meeting of 12/13/1886] The agreement was further amended making it an expellable offense for any club of an association which is a qualified member under the National Agreement to play any game of ball in any city or within four miles thereof, wherein any other National Agreement club is located, without first obtaining such club's consent. This places the St. Louis Brown Stocking Club at the mercy of the St. Louis League team. From this time forward in fact the Chicagos nor no other League Club can play the Browns in St. Louis without the consent of the directors of the St. Louis League Club. |
