Text | The League says they will expel all “crooked” man. If they are in earnest, we know no less than nine players of the six clubs represented in said League, that will have to give up ball-playing next season and return to their former menial occupations. We think that Joe Mackin, of Chicago, might give some valuable information to the League, especially in relation to the Athletic-Cincinnati games in Cincinnati last July, and that Seybert, of New York pool-selling notoriety, might throw a flood of light on some transactions. |
