Text | [from Answers to Correspondents] Should the fence back of the catcher be too close–so much so as to enable the catcher to save bases on passed balls-then a base should be given on passed balls; whereas, if there is no fence behind the catcher, the rule should be to limit the running of bases on passed balls to one base. |
