Text | The Athletics missed securing their first base several times in the course of the week’s play, from failing to run to first when the ball was hit. No matter whether it is a high ball that looks as if it is sure to be caught, or a foul ball, if you don’t hear the umpire call it, drop your bat and make for your base as fast as you can. |
