Text | [Union of Morrisania vs. Athletics 5/18/1870] His [umpire Theodore Bomeisler] decisions were somewhat partial. He called 73 balls on Pabor, and only 33 on McBride; in fact, out of fifteen consecutive balls pitched by Pabor, he gave three men their first base, giving the Athletics sixteen bases in all. |
