Text | [Unions of Morrisania vs. Nationals of Albany 7/8/1867] Pabor essayed his skill and struck a wicked ball to right-short, where Woolverton [the Nationals’ short stop] had posted himself, when he saw the “south paw”. Charles stopped his race at first-base as Woolverton fielded the ball handsomely to Lansing [first baseman], before he could get there. |
