Text | Von der Ahe says his base-runners have orders to run into fielders when they can make a point by it. This is the Chicago plan; but they are bigger and heavier fellows that the St. Louis men. It may happen that some of Chris's boys may get knocked out themselves at their little game. O'Neil got a dose which laid him up a third of the season, and Comiskey and Gleason, judging by the talk that is going around, will get a tumble some near day that will land them both in the hospital. If this thing should happen soon it would badly cripple the Browns, especially on their approaching Eastern trip. |
