Text | [a letter to the editor 4/17] Unless some one in authority introduces better discipline at the base ball games than was observed to-day, that noble game will be shunned by decent people in Cincinnati. The brawling profanity which accompanied the loud betting of a party of half drunken men, who had conspicuous seats in the grand stand, is not the kind of entertainment people pay for or want when they go to see a game of base ball. |
