Text	[from Albert Mott's column] ...the empty benches are filled with an excited, if not an exultant, mass of humanity which at times overflows into the field. What a change from the Atlantic to the American Association. … Here it was, in the latter part of a season, when the club never would draw flies, that a change comes after the people have hungered all the season for base ball, and they tumble over each other in their efforts to get to the grounds and occupy good seats. All is again activity and life—a resurrection in a graveyard of base ball hopes.
