Text | The opponents of Sunday ball playing have been more than usually active and aggressive this season, probably because the area of Sunday playing territory is widening the high pressure speed at which professional base ball is being conducted making such remunerative games absolutely necessary to the clubs which had hitherto abstained from playing on the first day of the week, at home, at least. [Goes on the discuss Washington, Baltimore, Easton, Pa., Rochester, and Wilmington.] |
