Text | The Athletics left for Washington last Sunday evening, in the 4:30 train. On arriving at the depot all nine were found to be “on deck,” with the exception of Radcliff, who failed to put in an appearance, after promising faithfully that he would go on the trip. It was reported that he had gone on a pleasure excursion, and if such was the case, his conduct cannot be too severely censured in thus leaving the Athletics in the “lurch. |
