Text | [reporting on the NA meeting of 3/2] One of the sections of the [proposed] code, providing that, in order to shorten a game, it should be left to the option of a club ahead at the [end of] the first half of the ninth inning to play out the inning, was discussed somewhat unfavorably, and was stricken out of the code, which, as thus amended, passed by a unanimous vote. |
