Text | [discussing the upcoming PL annual meeting] The clauses relating to prize moneys, equal division of profits, salries dependent upon gate receipts, etc., will probably be stricken from the constitution, so that in the future the stockholders will take all risks of losing money and the players be guaranteed their salaries in full, no matter what the receipts are. Under this system the capitalists take all the chances of losses and profits and the players get a sure thing, and are relieved of financial worriment to the betterment of their professional work. |
