Text | A feature of this season’s campaign is the carrying out of the rule of alternating the club “batteries,” a rule which has thus far resulted very satisfactorily indeed, first to one club and then to another. It game the Mets a victory over the Providence team, after a signal defeat, and on Saturday, April 22, it gave the Troys a signal victory on the occasion of the second game with the Mets. The change made by the Troys was from Keefe and Holbert to Welch and Ewing; while that made by the Mets was from Lynch and Clapp to Doyle and Reipschalger. |
