Text | The charges of “crookedness” preferred by President Pettit against Nolan were investigated by the directors of the Indianapolis Club June 25. The specification was that the first game at Providence last week was operated through pool-rooms in Cincinnati and Chicago, but nothing was offered to prove the charge. Nolan was reinstated, with the statement that no proof could be found to substantiate the charges. |
